Alison has a background of working in agriculture and an interest in the natural environment which led to a very keen interest in horticulture. She had a very large garden of an acre, which she loved growing & propagating all kinds of plants, fruit, flowers, vegetables, trees & shrubs within.
Alison studied garden history and garden design before training as a florist.
Working both as a freelance wedding and events florist and in an established florist shop, Alison has honed her craft over the years. Winning numerous floristry competitions both at local and national level.
Alison couldn’t be happier to share her passion for all things FloraFern.
2019 was a first year for FloraFern (rebirth) rolling out the workshops, some were more successful than others, let me know what you'd like to see offered in 2020.
